San Francisco Bay Area 6th Grade Science Collaboratory Project Information

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Bay Area Science Museum Learning Collaboratory, a collaboration of Rockman, etc. and DesignWorlds for Learning, Inc. involves 10 San Francisco Bay Area sixth grade science teachers as co-designers of a new kind of web-based science museum resources to improve science teaching and student learning. This project team is developing a new kind of web site with selected exemplary web resources from several participating Bay Area science-technology museums, all aligned with CA science standards, and an innovative teacher professional development model in which this teacher co-design community holds workshops at several of the different participating museum sites throughout the school year.
