DesignWorlds for Learning, Inc. is dedicated to the creative and collaborative use of digital technologies, interactive media, and telecommunications to support the development of new kinds of learning communities. Principals, Dr. Ted and Frona Kahn, as well as DesignWorlds’ affiliates and board, have built thriving educational businesses, designed and implemented award-winning programs, and led teams to product breakthroughs. They have a history of success in educational software enterprises including executive management, marketing and sales, product development, training, and media utilization. Our clients have included: hi-tech companies (Apple, Compaq, Fisher-Price, Microsoft, SRI International), museums (The Getty Center, California Science Center, Jewish Museum San Francisco), school districts, colleges/universities, foundations, and government agencies, as well as leading educational non-profit organizations (e.g., PBS, Thirteen/WNET, WestEd, and the National Academy of Sciences).
